Power Lunch: Women, Business & The Law

Please join Working Women of Tampa Bay and Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick for a special Power Lunch at The Tampa Club on the 42nd Floor of Bank of America Plaza in Downtown Tampa.

Visionary in Pink members Michele Leo Hintson, Maria C. Ramos and Mindi Richter will take part in a panel presentation, "Women, Business & The Law." The three panelists will share tips on common legal challenges both working women and women business owners face as well as advice based on growing their own successful careers.

Michele Leo Hintson is a seasoned business litigator who dedicates her practice to representing businesses, insurance companies, health care organizations. Michele is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator and is available to mediate circuit court disputes throughout Florida. Michelle was named a Florida Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine from 2009 through 2015 and a Florida Legal Elite by Florida Trend magazine in 2015 & 2016. She also sits on the board of directors for the PACE Center for Girls Pasco.

Maria del Carmen Ramos devotes a substantial portion of her practice to counseling clients on immigration and employment issues. On the labor and employment side, Maria assists corporate clients in drafting and implementing workplace policies and procedures (including employee handbooks, sexual harassment policies, and employment eligibility policies). She also has extensive experience drafting and litigating employment agreements and litigating discrimination and other employment matters. She formerly chaired the “Leadership Shumaker” program which raised more than $60,000 for Tampa Bay area charities.

Mindi M. Richter is Board Certified as an Intellectual Property Law Specialist and has counseled clients in the areas of trademark selection, registration and protection, as well as trade secrets, copyright, patent, and internet matters. Mindi has experience in litigating intellectual property matters of all types. Guiding clients in negotiating, developing and drafting licenses, assignments and other intellectual property contracts is another area of her experience. Mindi is a Florida Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine, 2009 - 2016 and Florida Legal Elite by Florida Trend magazine, 2016. She is also the co-chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.
