Power Lunch: Women Mean Business

Please join Working Women of Tampa Bay and South Tampa Chamber of Commerce for a special Power Lunch at The Tampa Club on the 42nd Floor of Bank of America Plaza in Downtown Tampa. Our Keynote Speaker is Erin Meagher, the developer of Kelapo Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, a product manufactured and marketed by Beneficial Blends LLC, headquartered in Tampa. 

Prior to creating Kelapo, Erin was a high school business teacher with a passion for motivating students to pursue entrepreneurship. While still teaching, Erin discovered extra virgin coconut oils as a replacement for butter and oils in cooking and baking. Impressed by it's taste and versatility, she began researching its orIgins and wonderful health benefits. She quickly fell in love with the tropical delight and decided to become its official advocate, sharing what she's discovered with all who will listen. As she often puts it "I am nuts about coconuts!"

In 2009 Erin launched Kelapo with the goal of producing the very best quality coconut oil on the market while ensuring fair and ethical treatment of the farmers who cultivate it. She insists the farmers be protected under the IMO Fair Trade Program, that they are organic-certified and that the company engage in eco-friendly practices.
In 2015 Erin and Kelapo were featured in The 50 Fastest-Growing Women-Led Companies in America and in 2016 Governor Scott announces Beneficial Blends’ expansion of Tampa headquarters.
