Tue, 27 Oct 2026 13:30:00 GMT

You love what you do. But asking for the sale, following up with a potential client, or raising your prices? Those conversations can feel a little harder.

Join Working Women of Tampa Bay for a practical workshop with Dr. Shane Smith, author of How to Sell When You Hate to Sell: The N.I.C.E. Way to Start the Conversations You've Been Avoiding.

Shane will introduce his N.I.C.E. framework and help you approach sales with curiosity, confidence, and questions that give potential clients room to discover what they need.

During this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

Understand the fears that make selling uncomfortable.
Ask questions that help clients recognize their own needs.
Turn a sales pitch into a natural conversation.
Follow up and ask for business while protecting the relationship.

Bring a conversation you’ve been avoiding and leave with a fresh approach to getting it started.

Breakfast and a signed copy of Shane’s book will be provided.

Dr. Shane Smith is an entrepreneur, educator, and author of How to Sell When You Hate to Sell. He serves as Central Florida Director for Florida State University’s Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, helping business owners grow and strengthen their companies.
