"I'm not bossy. I AM the boss."

That's the message heard round the world thanks a public service campaign spearheaded by Facebook's COO Sheryl Sandberg. She teamed up with the Girl Scouts back in March to create a Ban Bossy movement.

Whether it's the word "Bossy" or another "B" word, female leaders of all ages have been fighting the stereotype of being too aggressive for years. It's now in our hands to change the conversation.

Join Working Women of Tampa Bay for a lively, thought-provoking panel discussion at our monthly power lunch at Rusty Pelican on Rocky Point. WFLA Anchor Stacie Schaible will moderate the discussion. Panelists include: Tampa Bay Parenting Founder Angela ArdolinoPresident of the FL Commission on the Status of Women, Yvonne Fry, 17 year old entrepreneur & Huffington Post contributor, Tori Molnar, Girl Scouts of West Central Florida Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer Kristin WhitakerMaureen Griner, LPC with 1 Minute MommyAttorney Christina Anton Garcia.

**Members may register teen or college-age young ladies to the lunch to be involved in discussion.**

The event starts at 11am. Doors will close at 11:30 when speaker begins presentation. Spaces are limited for this event, so registering online is a must. This is a non-refundable event.

Thanks to our Media Sponsor:

Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine is for busy, caring parents who want information they can trust about raising responsible children and teens. This magazine provides a valuable source of parenting information and local resources for families in West Central Florida.

Thanks to our Promotional Partner:

Girl Scouts is proud to partner with Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg and her Lean In initiative, together we are driving a national conversation about reframing the way we discuss girls’ leadership. Research shows that calling girls “bossy” – a word almost never used for boys – is one of many ways we discourage girls from leading. As parents, educators, business executives and friends, we can make small changes that have a big impact on girls’ and women’s ambitions. Join the conversation at this event, banbossy.com and post to your social media using #banbossy. Together, we will encourage girls to lead at home, at school, and at work.
