When it comes to being perceived as effective leaders, women are rated as highly as men, and sometimes higher, according to an article published by the American Psychological Association. Former Circuit Judge, Susan Sexton has been leading since the 1980's. She was the first woman to be elected circuit judge in Tampa.... and also the youngest.

Susan will share her realistic, no non-sense approach to leadership during our September Power Lunch. Her presentation, "From the Bench to the Boardroom" is packed with pearls of wisdom for anyone leading a team, a family or a community.

About Our Speaker:

As a circuit judge, Susan served in all divisions of the court: Probate, Guardianship, Mental Health, Civil and most recently Criminal and Family Law. She has also served by special designation as an associate judge on the Second District Court of Appeal.

Susan created the award winning Elder Justice Center, a unique court program designed to provide elderly and developmentally disabled individuals full access to the court system. This program has been a model for similar programs around the United States and has been studied by various entities. For her efforts on behalf of the elderly and the developmentally disabled, Susan received the Distinguished Judicial Service Award in 2011. The Elder Justice Center has received the Justice Achievement Award from the National Association for Court Management and the Governor’s Peace at Home Award.

The event starts at 11am. Doors will close at 11:30 when speaker begins presentation. This is a non-refundable event.
