More About Our Keynote Speaker:

Stacy Brown never intended to open a restaurant. In 2007, she was a single mother in pursuit of the perfect chicken salad recipe and a way to provide for her children. That’s when Chicken Salad Chick was born, a true chicken salad experience that she and her business-partner-turned husband, Kevin, created. Since 2007, the Rome, GA native and Auburn alumni has continued to inspire her team and has experienced incredible growth with this unique concept.

Now, more than ten years later, Chicken Salad Chick offers guests Southern style chicken salad with over 12 varieties of flavors to choose from, as well as freshly made sides, gourmet soups, and delicious sweet treats. The fast casual concept has been featured in numerous publications including NRN’s “Breakout Brands,” the Fast Casual industry report, and was named a Top 10 finalist in FranchiseBusinessREVIEW’s “Best of the Best” list for emerging franchises. Additionally, Chicken Salad Chick ranked #37 on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in America, and was most recently selected as one of Fast Casual’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers. Today, Chicken Salad Chick has more than 130 restaurants across 16 states.

Stacy herself has earned spots on CNBC’s “Power Lunch,” CNN’s Airport Network “Companies on the Move” segment, and FOX Business “Fox & Friends.” Among her honors, Stacy won 2014 Restaurateur of the Year for the State of Alabama and 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year for Auburn University.

Stacy currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Women’s Philanthropy Board for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies, and is co-founder of the Chicken Salad Chick Foundation, a non-profit organization with the goal of feeding the hungry and fighting cancer. As someone who thrives in service-led environments, Stacy has enjoyed leading her own organization where service is the most important aspect of the brand.
