As professionals, we communicate important information, and we want those who read our emails to fully grasp the messages as we intended. To do that, we need to excel in writing with confidence, positivity, and clarity.
This workshop addresses all of those aspects.
Presented by Communication Skills Advisor Elizabeth (Liza) MacDonald, the workshop focuses on writing professional emails—with our busy readers in mind.
In this fast-paced, interactive workshop, we will transform, as a group, a problematic email into one that is:
- Clear
- On topic
- Visibly easy-to-read or skim
- Succinct yet contains the necessary information
- Positively constructed
This workshop will also give our emails a content and formatting tune-up: eliminating extraneous phrases, correcting ubiquitous grammar problems, and identifying sentences we inadvertently phrase in the negative and changing them to positively phrased sentences so they are clearer and more appealing.
People who have taken this workshop tell Liza they now approach their email writing more intentionally.
