During the workshop, we will learn:

• Knowing how not to phrase questions and what questions to avoid

The two-hour workshop includes networking, during which you will put into action what you learned: asking questions that will enhance the depth and length of conversations—and relationships.

Communication Skills Author and trainer Elizabeth (Liza) MacDonald leads the workshop, which is one of her favorites because it is highly interactive, fun, and unpredictable! This is the fourth time Liza has presented this popular Working Women of Tampa Bay workshop. Liza is the founder of The Verbal Edge, which provides customized workshops and consultations to equip professionals to be polished, effective communicators.

Her previous careers laid the groundwork for her focus on communication skills. She was a:

• TV anchor, reporter, and talk show host in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and the Norfolk/Virginia Beach
• area.
• High school English teacher
• Communication specialist for the largest school district in Indiana
• Assistant manager of flight attendants in San Francisco.
