About Our Speaker:

Pilar Ortiz is a successful international speaker, trainer and an entrepreneur. As a bilingual (Spanish/English) TV and Video coach, she helps executives, professionals, students and other entrepreneurs to build confidence and enhance their strengths to succeed to their fullest potential in front of a camera, a microphone or a live audience. She has a unique talent of bringing out the best in each individual. Her clients and students get immediate results as she brings to the table her experience of more than 20 years as a reporter, anchor (11 years as the Main News Anchor at Univision Tampa), producer and news director in networks such as CBS Telenoticias, Univision, Caracol, RCN and 24 Horas. She was named Woman of the Year in the Media in 2000 (Tampa Hispanic Heritage) and she was recognized with the most important award in colombian journalism: Premio Nacional de Periodismo Simón Bolívar (1994). She is a member of NSA (National Speaker Association), and she serves in two local boards: NSA Central Florida and the Hispanic Professional Women Association (President 2013-2014). She writes a weekly column in 7 DIAS, a well known Spanish Newspaper in the Tampa Bay area.
